Grimoire "COMPENDIUM RARISSIMUM TOTIUS ARTIS MAGICAE" facsimile book

This facsimile edition of the "Compendium Rarissimum..." was originally published by Aeon Sophia Press in April of 2016.

At the time only 20 hand bound exemplars were made by a genuine bookbinder craftsman.

We now make a pre-order available a limited edition hardcover copy, bound in full dark grey Italian linen.

We will make a limited quantity available for scholarly-, academic- and private practise research. 

Summary:

In German and Latin. On white, brown and grey-green paper. The title within an ornamental border in wash, with skulls, skeletons and cross-bones. Illustrated with 31 extraordinary water-colour drawings of demons, and three pages of magical and cabbalistic signs and sigils, etc. At the end the figures are in red, and part of the text is written in white on the grey-green paper.

This grimoire was created between 1700 and 1800rds, and the original is a full color book of 112 pages.

This 'facsimile' edition we're working on will be as close to the original copy as possible.

We have fully edited the images so that the images in the book are exactly the same size as the page size of the book, making it appear as if you are holding the original copy in person.

This book being made available under a 'Creative Commons' license: Creative Commons license 4.0

If funds allows us to do so, we will then donate a percentage of the proceeds of the sales of this book to the copyrights- and holder of the original copy.

Seeing that the book is in the public domain, we thus see no reason to print a large quantity. Therefore we will print most likely not more than 50 to 100 copies max. In any case, we will print according to (pre-) ordered copies.
